Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo – Transfer to Negombo

Meet at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and transfer to Negombo.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on Negombo Beach, perfect for the family to unwind after the flight.

Day 2: Negombo – Sigiriya

Travel to Sigiriya, home of the famous Lion Rock Fortress.

Afternoon at leisure or explore the nearby village, where the kids can enjoy a bullock cart ride and parents can experience traditional Sri Lankan life. Visit Dambulla Cave Golden temple.

Day 3: Sigiriya – Rock Climb and Village Experience

Morning climb up Sigiriya Lion Rock, an adventure the whole family will enjoy.

Visit a local farm in the afternoon and enjoy a traditional village tour with a boat ride, where kids can try their hand at some local activities.

Day 4: Sigiriya – Kandy – Pinnawala Millenium Elephant Foundation

Head to Kandy, stopping en route at the Pinnawala Millenium Elephant Foundation to participate for elephants being fed and bathed in the river.

Arrive in Kandy and visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Later, enjoy a family-friendly cultural dance show.

Day 5: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya, the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.

Visit a tea plantation and factory, where kids can see how tea is made and tea testing session, followed by a relaxing walk around Gregory Lake and the park.

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya – Train Ride to Ella

Take the famous train journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella, known for its breathtaking views of tea plantations and misty mountains.

Explore the laid-back town of Ella, where families can hike to Little Adam’s Peak or visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge.

Day 7: Ella – Yala National Park Safari

Travel to Yala National Park for an exciting afternoon safari. Spot leopards, elephants, crocodiles, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Evening relaxation at your eco-lodge near the park.

Day 8: Yala – Galle – Bentota

Drive along the scenic southern coast to Galle, where you can explore the historic Galle Fort with its colonial-era charm.

Continue to Bentota, a family-friendly beach destination, perfect for relaxation or optional water sports.

Day 9: Bentota – Beach Day and River Safari

Enjoy a full day at Bentota Beach, where kids can try water sports like jet skiing and banana boat rides.

Take a river safari along the Madu River, where the whole family can spot mangroves, monitor lizards, and birdlife. Most famous Turtle hatchery and conservation site visit at Ahungalle.

Day 10: Bentota – Colombo City Tour – Departure

Head to Colombo for a half-day city tour, exploring the markets, temples, and parks.

Visit the Colombo National Museum, a great way for kids to learn about Sri Lanka’s history.

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
